" JODHAA AKBAR " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

Jodhaa Akbar is a sixteenth century love story about a marriage of alliance that gave birth to true love between a great Mughal Emperor, Akbar and a Rajput princess, Jodhaa. Politically, success knew no bounds for Emperor Akbar, after having secured the Hindu Kush, he furthered his realm by conquest until his empire extended from Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal, and from the Himalayas to the Godhavari River. Through a shrewed blend of tolerence, generosity and force, Akbar won the allegiance of the Rajputs, the most belligerent Hindus. But little did Akbar know that when he married Jodhaa, a fiery Rajput princess, in order to further strengthen his relations with the Rajputs, he would in turn be embarking upon a new journey - the journey of true love. The daughter of King Bharmal of Amer, Jodhaa resented being reduced to a mere political pawn in this marriage of alliance, and Akbar's biggest challenge now did not merely lie in winning battles, but in winning the love of Jodhaa - a love hidden deep below resentment and extreme prejudice. " SUPER STAR " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

Kunal No 1 is a wannabe actor who drives his rickety bullet from Borivili to Film City in search of that great role which will make him a mix of Amitabh, Shah Rukh and Salman. Kunal No 2 is the hedonistic son of a producer who pumps in all the money he has to create a superstar out of his son. But the beta is a bumbling, non-performing actor who jives his way through his sad little life, while his look-alike (Kunal No 1) doubles in for all the difficult parts. However, the junior artist soon finds his role expanding and his own life disappearing after a pact he signs with the producer. The lure of becoming a superstar weans him away from his loved ones, leaving him locked up in a lonely castle where the rain is artificial, even though the Rolex is pure gold.

" THE BLUE UMBRELLA " MOVIE SYNOPSIS:

'The Blue Umbrella' is a heart-warming adaptation of the beloved novella of the same name by Ruskin Bond. It is a film about desire, about the zealous attempt to fulfill it and finally its conquest.

The story unfurls with the discovery of a vibrant blue umbrella by Biniya (Shreya Sharma), an eleven-year-old girl from an idyllic mountain village in North India . She has never seen anything more striking and beautiful.

Neither has Nandkishore Khatri (Pankaj Kapoor). Nandkishore Khatri runs a small tea stall in the village. He is a miserly old man who has a fondness for pickles and swindling kids off their little possessions. Nandkishore is smitten helplessly by the beauty of the umbrella and goes to remarkable lengths to acquire the Blue Umbrella but fails miserably. He has given up all hope and declares that he will forsake it and move on?

However Nandkishore is not the only one to covet the umbrella. The umbrella's arrival disturbs the tranquility and harmony of the village. Biniya's secret weapon gives her an enviable power over the small town, as the umbrella assumes mythical status.

One fine day the umbrella goes missing! The villagers are sympathetic to her misery but are convinced that Biniya's carelessness has resulted in the loss. Alone and betrayed Biniya decides to take matters into her own hands.

What follows is a journey of Biniya and Nandkishore to a discovery, which is bitter sweet and wisdom far beyond the Blue Umbrella. 'The Blue Umbrella' is a metaphorical tale yet also contemporary. It questions the basic premise of mankind's quest for superiority over others. It also raises pertinent questions on the concept of material happiness and futility of the whole process.

A bright and bubbly dubbing artist (Ayesha Takia) leads a happy girl-next-door existence in saddi Delhi, until one night she decides to party late into the night. Now nothing wrong with partying and all that, including the scratch marks on her neck and the girl-boy brawl in the pub.

But bechari Ms Bubbly has a major problem. She's completely scatter-brained and seems to forget too many things, including the sequence of events on that particular Sunday when things got wild, a girl was murdered, a cabbie man (Arshad Warsi) was taken for a ride and a small time actor (Irfan Khan) decided to play Dracula. Add to this a tapori cop (Ajay Devgan) who can't decide whether the piquant Pixar-Disney girl is innocent or suspect and you have a kabhi bumpy-kabhi breezy ride through a hatke whodunnit.
