  Yash Raj's new release NEW YORK brought a big smile on the faces of industrymen thanks to its excellent start at all multiplexes across the country. The morning and noon shows began with 70% and rose to 90% + as the day progressed. The various distributors/exhibitors this writer spoke to sounded very excited and were hopeful that the film would fetch fantastic collections over the weekend. Even smaller centres reported 50% - 60% opening, which is considered very good, in view of the fact that NEW YORK isn't the usual masala movie.
