Deepika to play chain smoker

Oh my god! What do I hear? Just when there's been so much controversy over smoking on screen, comes the buzz that Deepika Padukone will be seen puffing away in Karthik Calling Karthik.

But knowing what a health freak she is, I knew she wouldn't just start the habit for a role. So, my dear Deepika convinced the producer to fetch nicotine-free cigarettes for her.

So sure is Deepika of what she cannot do, she was even ready to refuse the coveted role – just so that she doesn't send out a wrong message.
